The Fundamentals Course is designed to set you up for success in a safe and confident environment prior to entering our regular classes. You’ll learn what CrossFit is and why it is a great way to get you fit for life and other endeavors. We teach Fundamentals in 6 classes over 3 weeks as we believe in making sure you move with correct form right from the start. CrossFit is something you will take with you throughout life, whether or not you’re in an actual CrossFit class (Functional Movement) so why rush the basics? These classes (which are required for everyone who has never tried CrossFit before) teach you all the basics to get you ready for the intensity of CrossFit. Come prepared to learn new skills and sweat a little.
Based on the CrossFit prescription of “constantly varied, functional movement, executed at high intensity,” our CrossFit program combines strength training with the “classic” CrossFit cardio workout. For this class, you could be working on pull-ups, rowing, burpees, weightlifting, handstand walks and much more. Every WOD is different so you never get bored! We scale each workout to your fitness level, so you get the maximum workout every time.
Gymnastics class is designed to help you perfect the way your body moves in space, while also making you more aware of where you are in space while moving. The class is heavily built on skills and drills that hone your ability in whatever gymnastics movement we happen to be working on that day. Each class ends with a short workout where you’ll have an opportunity to put those new skills to the test while still getting your sweat on.
Our BURN! class is open to anyone looking for a high intensity cardio workout. You won’t find any barbells or high skill gymnastic movements in this class! We will strap a Polar heart rate monitor to you and guide you through various heart rate zones, customized to your individual fitness level. If you are looking for a quick 300-400 calorie burn to start your day right, this is the class for you! And you don’t need any previous CrossFit experience.
Our Weightlifting Club follows set cycles ranging from the introductory level to more advanced cycles prepping lifters for WODs or competition. Whether you’re looking to improve your technique and strength or want to pursue lifting as a sport, this class is for you.
Who says adults get to have all the fun? Our CrossFit Kids classes teach children ages 5-18 the principles of mechanics, consistency and intensity in working out. Establishing good movements and fitness through childhood and adolescence is our goal. CrossFit Kids provides children with physical literacy, enhanced sports performance, and fewer sports injuries. Also, scientific research proves that exercise benefits cognitive function. So your little athlete will do better on the field and the classroom.
